DIGITAL MARKETING
Digital marketing, also called online marketing, is the promotion of brands to connect with potential customers using the internet and other forms of digital communication.
This includes not only email, social media, and web-based advertising, but also text and multimedia messages as a marketing channel.
It is also helpful to note that business models such as Affiliate and Network marketing also emerge from a digital marketing background with the arguments for either model being kind of split down the middle. Will examine them both in detail later on.
So digital marketing refers to advertising delivered through digital channels such as search engines, websites, social media, email, and mobile apps.

We must embrace change and the ability to adapt and create more diverse ways of getting our message out and in a way that resonates with our captive audience and so impacts them tremendously.
Accomplish this and your digital marketing efforts will be rewarded. Ignore and you will pay the price. Don’t get left behind.
With more being done behind the scenes as we often work from home these days, use the time to beef up your digital marketing and thus become a force to be reckoned with among your competitors.
In marketing, you have to be the one that stands out. Everyone is pushing to get their piece of the pie. Shouldn’t you be as well?
Of course.
Most people fail online, not because they don’t know what to do or that the information they are consuming is sketchy at best.
Maybe it is not truly relevant to their problem (although in some cases I would agree )…no they fail because they do not take action.
Yes, it’s that simple.
Most want to get everything just right. But most of the very successful pioneers in the digital marketing space took action, though rather imperfect, and made up for it as they journeyed along.
That’s all there is to it.

Now we head on to another important subject in the world of Marketing. Let’s go.

Digital Marketing - Earned Media
What most brands look forward to is the positive feedback that is circulated by word of mouth behind their backs so to speak.
This type of media is considered earned media, simply because there was no set event staged to create or promote it.
When a brand in its message causes a significant impact then people are going to talk about it especially if it leaves them feeling good. This occurs organically. The brand earned its rep.

Digital Marketing - Owned Media
Owned media is any media which the company outrightly owns. It’s the channels that the brand keeps and through them promotes direct content about its products, goods, and services.
Examples of owned media would be websites, blogs, YouTube channels, & social media pages.
If the brand owns the media then it can invest in something that is its own and there is no need to pay others to promote for them.

Digital Marketing - Paid Media
Paid media is the most popular of the digital media types and for good reason.
The goal behind Paid Media is to reach more audiences, making a high number of people know about your brand.
To effect this result, your brand’s goal would be to utilize media with the potential to bring more awareness to the company, its campaigns, and its products/services.
One great example of paid media would be AdWords (Google). Lots of marketers would have you believe that organic is the way to go and it does work to a point. However, when it comes to scalability and highly targeted results, paid will always come out on top.

Let’s Talk About Network Marketing

Network marketing is another business model utilized by many MLM companies to generate sales of their products.
Network marketing companies attract affiliates or distributors to use their products before then sharing these same products with their families and friends.
In the process, more persons are being recruited to become affiliates and distributors as they buy the product from you.
What usually happens is that your customer is first a buyer but then is given the option to become a distributor.
Who doesn’t want to earn more money right?!
With network marketing, you must show yourself to be that of a team player. It is not like affiliate marketing where you are on your own.
With network marketing, your teams’ efforts greatly contribute to your overall success. The real work however is in building a team and one that will follow your lead.
Network marketing is said to be the better business model but that is left to individual preference.
The challenge for network marketers these days is that with everything becoming digital and the distancing due to the pandemic, more networking is being done through Zoom calls as opposed to the regular house meeting or hotel meetings once frequently held.
I will share on the section over to the left some videos related to Network Marketing to give you more clarity and understanding of this business model, and how to succeed with it.
